Takedown, Copyright & Listing Corrections

Last updated Oct 15, 2026. This is a plain-English draft written by Swarmnest. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and it is not legal advice. Questions: hello@swarmnest.ai.

This page covers two things: (A) copyright complaints under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and (B) requests to correct or remove a directory listing. For trademark, privacy or other concerns, email us with the details and we will review them in the same spirit.

A. Copyright (DMCA) notices

We respect intellectual property and respond to clear notices of claimed copyright infringement on swarmnest.ai, including in marketplace products. Send notices to our designated agent, described on the DMCA Agent page, by email at hello@swarmnest.ai with the subject "DMCA notice".

What your notice must include

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must be in writing and include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them (a typed full name is acceptable for email).
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list).
  3. Identification of the material you say is infringing and where it is, with enough detail for us to find it, ideally the exact swarmnest.ai URL.
  4. Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Notices missing these elements may not be valid and we may ask you to complete them. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes material misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages, so please consider whether the use might be licensed or a fair use before sending one.

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice, we will act promptly to remove or disable access to the material, and we will let the person who provided it (for example, a creator) know, including a copy of the notice. Your notice, including your contact details, may be shared with that person.

B. Counter-notices

If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the subject "DMCA counter-notice". Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, postal address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is (or, if your address is outside the US, any judicial district in which Swarmnest may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

We will forward the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action seeking to stop the activity, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

C. Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, end the accounts, seller access or listings of people who are repeat infringers, and we may remove all of their products. We decide this case by case, considering valid notices that were not successfully countered.

D. Directory listing corrections and removals

Directory entries are short summaries we write in our own words from public information. If you run a listed tool, or simply spot an error, we want to fix it.

To request a correction

Email hello@swarmnest.ai with the subject "Listing correction" and include the swarmnest.ai URL of the entry, what is wrong, and the correct information with a public source (such as your pricing or docs page). Every directory page also has a "Suggest a correction" link.

To request removal

Email us with the subject "Listing removal", the URL of the entry, your role (for example, owner or authorized representative of the tool), and the reason. We will usually remove a listing at the request of its verified owner. We may verify by asking you to reply from an email address on the tool's own domain. We may decline to remove accurate, factual information about a public product where there is no legal reason to do so, but we will always correct errors.
